Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories
The legislative body assembled in 1993 hold meetings here about five times a year. The polar bear skin rug in the main chamber and the administrative secretary's seal skin chair, in front of the chairman's seat, are items of note. Also worth a look is the beautifully designed ceremonial mace which is taken out before the congress starts. The head of the mace houses a 1.3 carat diamond silver snow crystal and the top of the mace is made of pure marble.

An ice road is made on the frozen Great Slave Lake from the middle of January to the middle of March. The road leads to Dettah village, 6 km away. It is an amazing sight to see supply trucks driving along the icy road.
