Mani Bhavan is where Mahatma Gandhi, who led the independence movement in India, lived from 1917 to 1934. It is open to the public as the Mahatma Gandhi Museum.
Situated in a quiet residential area northeast of Malabar Hill, the house has been preserved as it was. It maintains the atmosphere of the days when Gandhi lived there. The museum displays photos and articles left by Gandhi, and it houses a library of Gandhi-related books that are used by researchers. |
