Innsbruck a city in the bosom of the Alps

Innsbruck located in the western part of Austria is in the bosom of abundant nature of the Alps. Emperor Maximilian I and Empress Maria Tresia loved the city¡Çs grand nature and beautiful Gothic-style buildings.

Innsbruck, which used to be a small town dotted with communities across the Inn River, has achieved today¡Çs prosperity since a bridge was built over the river.

This is the origin of the name of Innsbruck, which means ¡Èa bridge over the Inn River.¡É

Having hosted the Winter Olympics twice, Innsbruck also attracts many skiers in winter and alpinists in summer. With the deep blue sky, mountain ridges covered with white snow, brightly colored Alpine flowers and lovely animals ? Innsbruck is truly the world of fairy tales.

How to get to Innsbruck

All Nippon Airways and Austrian Airlines operate six code-sharing flights to Vienna from Narita Airport and seven from Kansai International Airport weekly. The direct flight to the Austrian capital takes approximately 12 hours. Because these are code-sharing flights, you can fly without worries with the assistance of Japanese cabin attendants.

It takes one hour by air and 5 hours and 20 minutes by special express train from Vienna to Innsbruck. It is very convenient because most trains operating in the country go through Innsbruck.

Transportation in the city

If you only want to see the old city area, it is small enough to travel around on foot.
