 |
| With many large shopping centers complete with specialty stores, large supermarkets and amusement facilities, Dubai is a shopping paradise. Each shopping center has its own unique structure and interior which are well worth a look. Madinat Jumeirah, along the Jumeirah Beach in the western part of the city has an exotic atmosphere and includes a luxury hotel, the largest spa facility in the Middle East, restaurants and a shopping center reproducing a traditional souk market. There is also a creek on the premises, and you can take a water taxi called an abra to get around. |

| An abra is a boat that crosses the creek. The water taxi that connects the Bur Dubai and Deira areas is an important means of transportation for local residents. There are three depots, each on the Deira and Bur Dubai sides, where abras are constantly waiting. Each abra carries about 20 passengers. It is a pleasant journey across the creek to see the night view of the illuminated buildings facing the creek. |

| There are no other cities in the world with such large-scale luxury hotels as in Dubai, and almost every one of them has a large, beautiful spa facility. If you have some time between shopping and eating out, it is recommended to relax in an Arabian spa and enjoy the luxurious features. "Amara" in Park Hyatt Dubai is a completely private, beautiful spa with a lounge that faces the swimming pool. While its services, including massage, facial and body treatment, are rather orthodox, its facilities and high-quality service will allow you to thoroughly relax and enjoy yourself. |

| This international GI horse race, where thoroughbreds selected from all over the world gather, is known as the race with the world's highest prize-money. It is held every spring at the Nad Al Sheba racetrack. Some 30,000 spectators including the Royal Family attend this national event. The event starts at 5:00 p.m. and includes six races, of which the fourth is the World Cup race. By the time the World Cup starts, the sun has already set and the illuminated turf track shines brightly. Other fun parts of the World Cup are the contests. The Best Dressed and Best Hat contests are especially popular, horse racing is certainly an event for the "ladies and gentlemen" in Dubai. |

In addition to staying at a hotel and going shopping, you can also enjoy activities in the surrounding desert and on the canal. If you wish to spend limited time efficiently, it may be a good idea to participate in an optional tour organized by a travel agency. Although there are not many Japanese-speaking tour guides, explanation on tourist spots will be given in easy-to-understand English. |

| This tour is a 4WD "roller coaster" ride in the desert with a barbecue dinner at a desert camp. You can choose a daytrip or an overnight tour to enjoy this exciting safari tour. The car runs up and down the undulating dunes, where there are, of course, no traffic signs or paved roads. During the tour, you will stop at a desert area where the view of the endless dunes is overwhelmingly beautiful. You can also experience the world of Arabian Nights watching camels at the Caramel Farm or having a barbecue while watching belly dancers. |

| This is a dinner tour on a dhow, a traditional Arabian wooden boat with amazing scenery. The boat leaves the pier of Bur Dubai and heads in the direction of the Al Garhoud Bridge. After watching the lights of restaurants and hotels along the creek, the highlight of the tour is the view of the illuminated streets of Bur Dubai. The dinner is served buffet style. |
