Gabriel Tower
|
| Built in 1524 by Lietenant Gabriel du Puy as a west-facing guard tower, the Gabriel Tower, named after its builder, now serves as a lighthouse. Its modern architecture also consists of a framework robust enough to withstand artillery attacks, the newest weapon of the period it was built in and to neutralize enemy attacks. |

King’s Gate
|
| Built at the end of 15th century to intercept incursions by the enemy, the King’s Gate is constructed as a drawbridge with a chain-suspended door.
Past the entrance to the island lies the Boulevard Gate and slightly further on, the King’s Gate. Currently, the administrative offices of the island are located in the tower above the King’s Gate. |
