Hofburg (Imperial Palace)
This palace built in 1460 by Archduke Siegmund the Rich was extended by Maximilian I and Ferdinand I, and was further improved into a gorgeous rococo-style palace by Maria Tresia between 1754 and 1773. There are a number of furnishings and paintings, including the items in Maria Tresia¡Çs audience room, a rococo-style stove in Weisser Salon and the largest-scale ceiling painting in Tirol. Portraits of members of the Imperial family, such as Marie Antoinette and Empress Elisabeth, can be seen in each room.

Cathedral St. Jacob
This church built by Johann Georg Fischer and Jakom Herkomer between 1717 and 1724 is the main church of Roman Catholic in the Tirol region. You can enjoy the Baroque beauty to the full in this church, which has the plastered ceiling with fresco painting, the ¡ÈVirgin of Good Help¡É painted on the altar, as well as the pipe organ that is said to be the most beautiful in Tirol.
